Description

This 24-month internship programme, hosted by the ICT Governance department under the CIO’s office, is designed to provide unemployed graduates in Computer Sciences with practical experience that complements their academic training. Based in Centurion and offering a monthly stipend between R5 000 and R6 000, the programme aims to develop interns’ technical, analytical, and communication skills within a professional ICT environment. It supports CIDB’s employment equity goals and encourages candidates with disabilities to apply. Applicants who have previously participated in any internship or graduate programme are not eligible.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in ICT governance and compliance activities
  • Support system monitoring and performance tracking
  • Participate in software and hardware audits
  • Help maintain documentation and records related to ICT operations
  • Contribute to the development and review of IT policies and procedures
  • Provide technical and administrative support to the ICT Governance team
  • Engage in learning and development aligned with the internship objectives

Qualifications

  • NQF Level 6 qualification in Computer Sciences
  • Analytical thinking skills
  • Problem-solving ability
  • Effective communication skills
  • Must be a South African citizen or permanent resident with a valid South African ID
  • Must not have participated in any previous internship or graduate programme
